Conduct an experiment—safely. Experiments are fun and a great way to learn about scientific principles. However, the materials used for experiments require proper handling and a focus on safety. Unsafe behavior can lead to damaged materials and injury to people. Working safely in the lab will help make for an excellent learning experience.

Have students take notes about the safety precautions the hosts of the video take as they do the experiments. Have students complete the columns of the graphic organizer to think critically about the hosts’ purpose in the video.
